Ok, so I got a new ThinkPad tablet pc. And dammit, this thing is hot, with its fingerprint and voice recognition. I can write any command on the screen and a program will open up, and I can say things such as "zoom in" and "zoom out" and it will listen..most of the time.
I can twirl the moniter around and turn it into just a touch screen tablet that I can rest on my lap. And even though Vista is kind of annoying and I couldn't get it to stop locking up when trying to connect to share files from my other computer, its pretty purty, with it's pinky and black see through skin theme.
The downside...I'm so used to using keyboard shortcuts that I have to get used to either using the menus again, or get used to hearing myself constantly shout commands into the ether. And sitting in a public place talking to my laptop hasn't quite become as widely acceptable as talking to oneself, when folks can only assume that the crazy person on the street corner is talking into a bluetooth and not that imaginary friend drop dead fred.
